Content batching is key for social media managers and content creators who want to get the most ROI on their time through best productivity practices. But what does content batching for social media look like for you and your business?
Setting aside time to create content is at the heart of content batching. It is having the right mindset and time alotted to create batches of content. Many influencers use these practices to batch short form content for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.
How much easier is it to have a couple of hours dedicated with a plan toward videoing content rather than trying to remember to record every day – the answer? TONS!
Creating content on the fly is a sure way to increase chances of burnout and overwhelm.
Here are four key factors to planning a content batching session:
- Start with strategy: is there a freebie or a couple of topics you are wanting to focus on? Can you use this time to make more content that will compliment your other posts on social media?
- Plan how long you can take recording content. Keep in mind how many takes you will need per video and start with a mixture of original videos and taking a spin on a trending audio.
- Get your set up ready: know what outfits you will wear, any trending audios you will use, props you need, etc. Having a plan will have you time.
- Do the thing! Most people get bogged down in steps 1-3 and they never make it to step 4. Accept the fact it might take longer than planned, and cut videos you don’t have time for. The more you do this the better you will get at it and the faster the ideas, and videos will come!
